I am a landscape and seascape painter working en plein air and from my studio in rural Wiltshire, UK. I work primarily in oil and acrylic and am increasingly making large-scale pieces which take inspiration from the power of our natural surroundings.
My work is regularly exhibited in galleries and open exhibitions across the UK, and is included in private collections in the US, Australia, France, and Britain, including the private collection at Kensington Palace.
I’m also Director of 100 Moths, an art and conservation project which aims to raise awareness of the importance of moths in the UK.
Finally, I’m a published writer with an academic background in literature and the history of thought and ideas. My journalism, academic articles and book chapters have been published in the UK and abroad. You can read my blog about art, literature, and culture over at The Carington Press
If you’d like to enquire about the availability of a particular piece, commission me, subscribe to my newsletter, or just say hello, please email me.
