100 Moths is an art and conservation project, conceived and directed by artist Annabel Carington, which aims to raise awareness of the environmental and cultural importance of moths in the UK.
The project involves Annabel creating 100 large paintings and 100 small drawings of moths found in the UK, with a particular focus on those most at risk. Together, these paintings and drawings will form an exhibition open to the public, at which all works will be for sale, and 50% of the purchase price of each picture will be donated to UK moth conservation projects.
There will also be a book of the same name, reproducing all of the paintings and drawings, and including information about the project and each moth.
For more information and to see the drawings and paintings as they emerge, please visit the 100 Moths website.
You can also email Annabel to join the mailing list and be kept up to date.
